The Honey Show will be held on Sunday 20th September 2026 at Aspley Guise Village Hall, 9 Woburn Lane, Aspley Guise, Beds, MK17 8JS.

Entry Form
A hard copy of the Entry Form was included in the 2026 Yearbook.
You can also download an MS Word file (which can be electronically updated for your entry selections) or as a PDF document (which must be manually updated):
An online entry system is now available – click here to access it. You will get an email confirming that you have successfully submitted the form. It is editable so if you decide to enter a few extra classes nearer the time then just go back in and add them!
Completed entry forms must be returned to Sue Lang (Honey Show Secretary) by midnight Sunday 13th September 2026.

Entry Submissions:
You will be able to drop your entries off on the Saturday afternoon between 1-4pm and on Sunday from 08:30 to 09:45. Trophies will be presented at 4pm, after which your entries can be retrieved.
5 x National Super-sized frame holders have been purchased by the association. Members can borrow one to use to enter the ‘Frame of Honey’ Class at our Honey Show. They are available for collection now from Sue Lang in Marston Moretaine. They must be cleaned and returned to the association after the show. Please contact Sue to reserve one and arrange collection.
Awards List
The Lew Ellison Shield – awarded to the best exhibit in Class 20: Honey Cake.
The Don Waterhouse Trophy – awarded to the best exhibit in Class 6: Creamed or Soft set honey.
The David Cook Trophy – awarded to the best exhibit in Class 12: Shallow frame suitable for extraction.
The Richard Sherwood Shield – awarded to the best exhibit in Class 13: Three matching beeswax blocks.
The Jennings Craft Trophy – awarded to the best exhibit in class 28: A practical item or invention.
The Ian Beaty Trophy – awarded to the best exhibit in class 27: Three Craft Items.
The Alan Sunman Cup – awarded to the best exhibit in Classes 30- 33: Photographic Classes.
The Bill Inskip Trophy – is not awarded to any specific class. The Honey Show Secretary has decided that this year it will be awarded to the winner of Class 19: An Alcoholic Drink based on honey (Cyser, Melomel, Metheglin etc).
The Linslade Cup – awarded to a novice* member of the Association gaining the most points in Classes 1 – 34 inclusive.
*Novice is an entrant who has never won 1st place in any class at any honey show.
The Centenary Trophy – awarded to the best exhibit in Class 25: Interesting or Instructive Exhibit.
The Federation Cup – is awarded to the best exhibit in Class 10: 6 x 454g (1lb) matching jars of honey.
The Jennings Junior Trophy – awarded to the Junior/Student member of the Association gaining most points across Classes 1-37.
The Jennings Senior Trophy – awarded to the Beds BKA member gaining most points across Classes 1-34.
The Wilf Ruff Shield – awarded to the District accumulating the most points in classes 1-37 inclusive.
The National Honey Show Blue Ribbon and the Bedfordshire Cup – awarded for the best exhibit in the Show.
Non-members of Bedfordshire Beekeepers Association that win Trophy’s (open classes) will have their names engraved on Trophies but will not be able keep the trophies at home. (They will be retained by show secretary).
Engraving of Awards
After the awards presentation please will all award winners return their trophies to the Honey Show Secretary (Sue Lang), so that they can be engraved. The awards will be returned to the winners as soon as possible after they have been engraved.

Inter-County Federation Cup
This is now hosted by the National Honey Show. Winners in certain classes will be asked if their items can go forward to this competition held at the end of October 2026.
